Walk toward the Embarcadero on Mission Street, past the transit center and you'll see walkway just to the right of the building 201 Mission. Here you'll find some tables and chairs amidst planters of mature trees and bushes, a quiet and protected area to sit in the shade on a sunny day.
As long as you face away from the parking garage behind you, you can imagine yourself separated from the traffic and city scene. Have a cup of coffee or a sandwich for lunch, sitting at one of the tables before braving the buses and crowds across the street as you bravely head off for your public transportation destination of choice.
